No two vintage car racing events are exactly alike. For example, SVRA’s “SoCal Vintage Historic Sportscar Festival” kicks-off the year at California’s Auto Club Speedway, while VARA’s “High Desert Challenge” opens the door to springtime racing at southern California’s Willow Springs Raceway in the moon-like atmosphere of the Mojave Desert.
Soon after, Sovren’s “Spring Sprints” begins a season of Northwest vintage racing amidst the lush green landscape of Pacific Raceways in Kent, Washington. May and June bring races at tracks across the USA, including “The Brickyard Invitational” at the immortal Indianapolis Motor Speedway. Summer brings the “Weathertech International Challenge with Brian Redman” at the world class Road America in pristine Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin as well as unique events at spectacular tracks in the West, Northwest, Rockies, Southwest, Midwest and Eastern USA regions.
Some events attract a hundred cars or fewer, while others showcase in excess of five hundred cars, such as the “Weathertech Laguna Seca Monterey Motorsports Reunion” in California’s scenic Monterey, and the “Pittsburgh Grand Prix” where cars race on city streets in a classic urban setting.
